花の舟 - Hana no fune

The name "Hana no Fune" means "Flower Boat" in Japanese, drawing inspiration from the etymology of the Cymbidium orchid, which became the guiding theme for this series. In my creative process, I often choose themes that linger in my thoughts, capturing my emotions at that particular moment. This time, I found myself deeply enchanted by the Cymbidium’s delicate patterns and mesmerizing fragrance, which left a profound impression on me. Through my artwork, I aimed to evoke these sensations—immersing the viewer not only in the visual beauty of its colors and leaf patterns but also in the imagined fragrance, expressed through intricate embroidery and diverse mediums.

The titles of each painting are derived from the Japanese language of flower meanings associated with the Cymbidium orchid.
